Rinnai tankless water heater installation covers the specific installation requirements of Rinnai units, one of the most established tankless brands on the market, known for their range of gas and condensing models built for both residential and light commercial applications. Rinnai units have specific venting, gas line, and clearance requirements that vary by model, and proper installation matters for both performance and keeping the manufacturer warranty intact.
Homeowners choosing Rinnai are usually looking for a well-established brand with a strong service and parts network, want a specific model they've researched for its efficiency rating or capacity, or are replacing an aging Rinnai unit and want continuity with the same brand and its support network. Rinnai's condensing models in particular require specific venting considerations that differ from standard non-condensing units.
We start by confirming the specific Rinnai model's requirements – gas line sizing, venting type, and clearances all vary between their standard and condensing lines, so we don't treat every Rinnai installation the same way. We size the unit to your household's hot water demand, run or upsize gas lines as needed, and install venting according to the model's specific requirements, since condensing models use different venting materials and need a condensate drain that standard models don't. We mount the unit, complete all connections, and test the system under real flow conditions, then register the installation with Rinnai where applicable to keep the manufacturer warranty active.
Cost depends on the specific Rinnai model chosen, its capacity, and how much gas line or venting work your home's existing infrastructure needs to support it. Properties in Metairie, LA converting from an older tank system typically need more infrastructure work than a Rinnai-to-Rinnai replacement.
